An intimate screening of IAWA’s debut documentary, originally released in 2018, followed by a live conversation with the producer and the young people featured in the film. The documentary offers a powerful, personal lens into the founding of IAWA, the youth impacted by unemployment, and the experiences of its first cohort in the Royal Bafokeng Nation.

A one-day event centered on professional development, personal enrichment, and entrepreneurship. Through interactive panels and workshops, IAWA alumni and South African youth will gain practical insights, critical skills, and valuable resources to advance their educational and career journeys.

A film schowcase featuring films that discuss issues youth are facing in South Africa and the United States of America. Films were created by youth from Poppyn (Presenting on Perspective On Philly Youth News), Kitsong School, Bafokeng Youth Centre, and I Am, We Are.  I Am Because We Are documentary will also be shown.
