Maintaining Our Joy and Peace

While this year has brought us quarantines, lock downs, and civil unrest, it has has also given us the opportunity to be still with ourselves, families, friends, and loved ones. It has given us the opportunity to deeply understand what brings us joy and peace or promotes our wellbeing. As people who exist in time, comprised of spirit, mind, and body, here are some wellbeing tips that speak to the many facets of our being.

Time

  • Don't be afraid to stop the world for a minute. Purposefully set aside time for quiet, peace, reflection, and processing. This may require a change in your normal schedule, but it's worth it. You are worth it. Your peace deserves a place in your schedule. Take back ownership of what you've been given, cultivate the gift of peace, that you have. Purposeful attention will make it more fruitful.

  • There are many messages about what to focus on. Take time to make your own determination of purposeful focus, and steward it.

  • As we grow to treasure life, more and more, work to maximize every moment that you are graced to have with your loved ones. Bring as much of your best self to every moment.

  • Build contingency time into your schedule. Life happens, so if you can help it, make provision by cushioning your appointments with wiggle room for your happenings, a break, a breather, a laugh. Then get back to it!

Spirit

  • Growing spirit we can help us to stay calm while the raging seas of life shakes our boat.

  • Take care of your spirit. Pray and grow in what drives you to that which is larger than yourself. Connect with your spiritual community, for we grow fast and proximity of safety and love.

  • Send at the time, resting in the fact that much is unknown, and much can be known, thought out, and understood.

  • Your life is a journey, your journey. Hold to it, even when times get tough. Hope builds the spirit, feeds the soul.

Mind

  • Remember that you are doing the best that you can, while in a collective, global, life change. • Give yourself Grace and permission to process your processes.

  • The release of perfectionism gives way for your healing so that you can peacefully and confidently rest in what excellence looks like for you. Excellence over perfectionism.

  • This may seem simple, but smile. When we smile, we engage many muscles in our face, signal to our mind that we are okay, and set in motion a natural chain reaction which lifts our mood. The human body is awesome!

Body

  • There is much pressure to maintain appearance. So first, love what you have, for without it you would have nothing to mold into what you want.

  • Think addition over subtraction. Add more nutrient and mineral rich, healthy foods, supplements, and boosters to your life. Your body will feel heard, and your cravings will change.

  • Often times we crave unhealthily because we have a deficiency in that with is needed for our body to function. Ever just have a craving for chromium? Probably not, but many of you have craved chocolate. If you're curious, look up "cravings and deficiencies". You'll see what I mean.

  • Movement is essential, so move however you can. It will bring lightness to your self.
